I just spent all day worrying about my little girl because I had another brand thermometer that was reading very inconsistent. This one is reading consistently. I tested it on her as well as myself, as I don't have a fever. I was at 98.9. I think you can trust this thermometer, at least much more than other thermometers in the same price range.

Use straight as a traditional thermometer. Finally there is a thermometer thats versatile enough for the whole family to use. The new Timex Acrobat bends for comfortable and accurate use as an Oral, Rectal or Underarm thermometer. Straighten Timex Acrobat for taking Rectal or Underarm temperatures. Soft tip holds any shape until you need to change it! Suggested oral use: Bend the soft tip to comfortably fit in the mouth and accurately find the hot spot! Test results range from 5 to 14 seconds.
