Looks and "feels" and works just like a professional otoscope at a fraction of the cost. I literally use it almost every night.
Two of my children inherited "hard" earwax and all the problems that come with it and even though we have great insurance, it costs a small fortune to have our doctor clean it out. I also hate paying for an office visit only to find out it wasn't necessary. So this little gem saves me time and money every day.
It comes in a very sturdy case, it shines VERY brightly, and it comes with 4 actual images of: 1)an eardrum with a "tube" in it 2)a normal healthy eardrum 3)an infected eardrum and 4)a perforated eardrum. I cut the photos out and glued them inside the case lid so I don't lose them.
I couldn't be happier with my purchase and HIGHLY recommend it to anyone who deals with ear infections or ear wax build up. It's a great investment.

Wonderful item that works exactly as described. I can't believe how clearly I am able to see the eardrum of both my daughter and my husband. The light is so bright it will blind you if you look straight at it. The item is also light weight and very easy to handle. I had a larger fatter type that I purchased on eBay that used larger batteries that got very heavy in the hand while trying to manipulate it in the ear. I also had to replace the bulb on that model 2 times in just 8 months. I saw this otoscope while looking to purchase another bulb and decided to try it since it cost less than 2 bulbs. This ear scope is brighter, lighter, and I can see more clearly with it. I love this ear scope! Review: Fantastic Product!Summary: 5 Stars Fantastic earscope especially for the price. I just stumbled across this when I was searching for a book about ear infections. I did not know they were even available to the general public. I thought the only way I could check on the ears of my daughter was to take her into the pediatrician and pay my $35 co-pay.
It is so easy to look in her ear and check her eardrum for redness. What you see is what you get. The earscope also includes directions to a webpage that is full of color eardrum pictures and detailed instructions on how to use the scope.
I am so happy with my purchase. You will not go wrong with this nifty little device.

I received this as a gift from my husband for Christmas and love it. We had been using a larger otoscope we purchased from Amazon a couple years ago which worked well but wanted a smaller one that we could pack in our bags when we travel. Our child is prone to ear infections and they seem to be worse when we travel especially by air.
The LED light is really bright on this otoscope and you can see the eardrum very clearly. Actually the light is brighter on this otoscope than the larger professional model I own which allows you to see in the ear better than I can see with it. My husband also purchased the LED with the hard case which is nice for travel since it is well protected. I am very happy with how well this otoscope works.

My son has suffered with multiple ear infections, I needed an otoscope to be able to tell when its time to head to the doctor( when his eardrum is red and inflamed) and when he says his ear hurts just for sympathy. I think this small otoscope has all the right stuff. Its lite, useful and a good price.
