I just received the Dr. Mom Otoscope. I am a nurse and I view ears daily in a clinic... this is a really nice product! With the proper size specula, you get a perfect (and bright) view of the tympanic membrane! And it really is as good a view as you get with the expensive professional wall models!
I had purchased a cheap plastic otoscope for home from a local drugstore (around $13 a few years ago) which did not work well, it was very dull even with fresh batteries and I hated the contact switch that turned it on and off. The Dr. Mom otoscope had rave reviews and looked like it was a decent quality item. So, I figured for just a few dollars more, this one HAD to be better.
What a nice surprise to receive a product that is BETTER than I expected! I can now get a bright and clear view of any irregularities in my childrens' ears as soon as they begin to complain! I also like the on/off button at the bottom of the otoscope, that the bulb is guaranteed and that the AAA batteries are easily purchased anywhere.
Thanks for a great medical product that is affordable!

I being a physician, was quite skeptical in the beginning when I was thinking of purchasing this otoscpe. My daughter who's a sophomore in college, neede one for her medical mission trip to South America. But when I received it and tried it out, I was very impressed with it. The light was very bright, which is very important so yo can see inside the ear, and is also a good thing to have in the home, especially if you have youg kids, who frequently get ear infections. So I strongly recommend this otoscope to anyone looking for one, and you don't have to spend a few hundred dollars for a Welch-Allyn.Product Review: Dr. Mom's Rocks!!

This is a small inexpensive home use Otoscope that as an ER RN I would highly recommend. Bright, good amplification, metal casing, and easy to use. This is not a industrial Welch Allen you would see in a Dr. office but a good inexpensive alternative to look into your child's ears.Product Review: Easy to use and works well
