Product Review: Heaven in a pillow

If I sleep on a normal pillow, I often wake up with a muscle knot in my neck.
This pillow is a godsend. I do wish I could get a 'side-sleeper only' version though! For those that complain it doesn't fit just right, please check out therapeutica's website, where they instruct how to measure yourself such that you order the correct size for your neck.
I never have neck pain with this pillow!!!
You'll need king-sized pillow cases for it, FYI.

I've had this pillow for a few years and love it. As other reviewers mentioned, tried other pillows, including a more expensive Tempur-Pedic. I found the neck cradle and little neck support "tail" for back sleeping very comfortable from the get-go, and I'm not normally a back sleeper. The side sleeping "blocks" support my neck perfectly; I find these comfortable, as well.
And, when I went to Maui for 2 weeks from the Midwest, I packed this pillow (it took up most of a suitcase) because I couldn't bear to be without it. I think that says it all!
Product Review: Interesting concept, flaws in execution

Although a lot of research went into its design, the end result is a mixed bag.
This pillow is primarily for back sleepers. The design does succeed in holding your head in place in the right alignment. When the pillow is new and firm, it works. I had a neck problem that was resolved within a night using the pillow.
Problem: it is made of foam, and foam breaks down and softens. Body heat alone melts the foam down in the middle of the night. Two months later, the foam stopped hold up, which means the all-important neck support section stopped supporting. My neck started aching again.
Attempting to sleep on my side raised two problems. One, the design forces you to completely change positions, not just roll to your side. You have to climb up onto the side squares. You can't move the pillow, because it's too cumbersome. Once you get up on to the squares, they're narrow, uncomfortable, and it's hard to stay up on them. The second problem is that the foam is, again, way too soft. In a side position, it doesn't hold up at all.
If you're a back sleeper only, this pillow would make sense if they made it much more firm. The way it is now, you may get a couple of months out of it---far less of a life than promised. Considering the high price, a disappointment.

It's a little hard for me, but a good shape. I may slice about an inch off the bottom when I find my electric knife and then add a sheet of soft batting to the top and see if it works better for me. It was made for a slightly larger person that me, and since it's not squishy or soft, it needs to be just the right size. It is a good idea, though, just haven't been able to figure out how to make myself comfortable long enough to sleep on it yet.Product Review: Love at First Sleep

As soon as this pillow arrived, I pulled it out of the box and laid down on the floor to try it out. The moment my head settled into the cradle in the middle, I felt my whole body say "Ahhh!" This is a wonderful invention and I am so grateful for whoever designed it. I have terrible neck problems and I previously thought I was doing some good by sleeping on a Tempurpedic Neck Pillow. But that was always hard, uncomfortable, and I would wake up with pain. However, with the Therapeutica Pillow, I wake up with no pain! I love it! It didn't take any time at all to adjust... the only thing that took a little getting used to was having to actually travel across the bed while rolling over to get to the right spot on the pillow, instead of just rolling in place - if that makes any sense. I think my husband secretly looks forward to nights when I'm traveling so that he can use my Therapeutica pillow. ;) I'll be getting him one for Christmas so he won't have to steal mine! :) I am considering getting one for each of my parents as well because I have come to love it so much. I HIGHLY recommend it!
UPDATE (August 2010): My husband says that I he hasn't heard me snoring since I got this pillow. Also, I loved it so much that I bought one for my husband, my dad and my mother-in-law... and they all rave about it!
