Product Reviews of Therapeutica Sleeping Pillows - Petite Adult - Comfort and Correct Spine Alignment!Product Review: Odd but okay Summary: 3 Stars
This is a very strangely shaped pillow. Without a folded towel under it, I have a stiff neck and back pain when I wake up. There is also a cervical support that sticks out from under the concave part of the pillow, I sometimes find that uncomfortable. I don't use the two "wings" of the pillow for side sleeping, they aren't comfortable for me. In summary, for me, this pillow is better than a regular pillow and comparable to the contoured Brookstone tempurpedic pillow.
Product Review: Sleeping Pillow Summary: 4 Stars
It's a very nice pillow. I bought it and the first night I had the WORST night's sleep I ever had. But the next was better and so on. Getting the right size is important as I gave the large to my wife and at 6'-1" I bought the x-large. Everyonce in a while I sleep on it incorrectly and am a little sore. But for the most part, its a great pillow that you get used to sleeping on it in a particular way. I just have to figure out what to do with our old pillows. Of course it would be nice to have a nicer cover, but I'll make due.
Product Review: So glad I found this pillow again! Summary: 5 Stars
I've been using this pillow for 9 years now and really love it. Only in the past few months have I noticed neck pain in the mornings again. I figure that the foam is getting too soft now, but couldn't recall the name of the pillow to order a new one. I made my original purchase from the Home Shopping Network, back in 2002 so I didn't even know if this product was still available. Lucky for me, it is!
As mentioned by several reviewers here, it takes a few days (sometimes longer) to get used to having "a hole in the middle of your pillow" but eventually, you do get used to it and it's suddenly an extremely comfortable pillow. In the early months, when I woke through the night, I was astounded by how comfortable I was. THAT never happened with a regular pillow - or even with those rounded cervical pillows that I used in the'90s. This pillow is so comfortable that I even take it with me on vacation. It's quite large (although does fit into a standard sized pillowcase), but it's worth it to me to forego room in my suitcase to ensure continued good sleeps.
If you decide to try this pillow, please give it time to change your sleeping habits. On a regular pillow, it doesn't matter where your head is when you change from back- to side-sleeping. With this one, side-sleeping in the middle of the pillow is not a comfortable option. Luckily, the way the pillow is constructed, you can roll comfortably from one side to the other with your head well-supported and comfortable throughout the movement. But it does feel a little weird the first few nights. Stick it out, though. It's a really neat and comfy pillow. I think you'll agree.
Product Review: Too firm Summary: 2 Stars
For someone who is about 5 feet tall, this pillow may still be too big. I have tried this and the child size. I think I prefer the child size. It seems to me that the foam used on the adult petite and the child size is different. The child size and the travel pillow seem to be made of softer foam.
I use memory foam on my mattress, and after my shoulder sinks into the mattress pad, this pillow is too high for my head.
Product Review: Very comfortable and helps neck pain Summary: 4 Stars
I bought this pillow about a month ago and love it. I have tried various types, for example, temperpedic, and this is the best one! It is hard for me to lie on my back all night, so this pillow allows you to lie on your side too. I have less pressure on my neck and wake up not feeling cramped or aching. I would highly recommend this pillow for people with neck pain or migraines. My chiropractor recommended it to me. It is totally worth it.
