Product Reviews of TheraCaneProduct Review: Wow Summary: 5 StarsI've owned the TheraCane for a little over twenty minutes now and all I can say is, WOW! It works amazingly well and it allows me to apply just the right amount of pressure myself instead of trying to negotiate with a masseuse on where to press and how much. It's great for trigger points in the upper and mid-back, and even the ones underneath the shoulder blades, which are usually impossible to get. It feels very sturdy and I'm not at all concerned about it breaking (ever). It also doesn't require much strength to apply a lot of pressure so if you're worried about that, don't. It is a little pricey but it's completely worth it. I highly recommend it!
Product Review: Excellent Summary: 5 Stars"Aren't you supposed to leave that locked on your steering wheel" they ask as I walk across the parking lot to work. Sure, it's strange looking, but who cares?
I had a blue TheraCane for several years and ended up giving it to someone who needed it more than I did to take care of a pinched nerve in their hip - and it worked for them within 20 minutes - and so then I just had to go out and buy a new one. I like that this one is green - variety is good.
The quality is identical to my old one - very solid, sturdy, and well finished. People will usually approach me a few weeks after seeing it and timidly ask what it is and I'll hand it to them and explain that you can massage your back (neck, legs, arms, hands, feet, etc.) with it and they dig in a bit on their back and usually say something like "wow" or "ooooh" as they find a knot to push on that they never knew they had.
I got it cheaper here at Amazon than I could get it at the stores locally, though when factoring shipping into the cost, it isn't a huge difference in price. You'll just have to check out your local stores and compare yourself against Amazon's price plus shipping.
Product Review: AWESOME Summary: 5 StarsThis is really worth the money. If you're always wanting someone to dig into those sore spots, you need this. You can use it to dig into those spots when nobody is around or when they are tired of doing it for you. It comes with a handy manual too that shows all the different ways you can use the theracane.
Product Review: A little pricey Summary: 4 StarsAs a pudendal nerve entrapment and chronic pelvic pain patient, I have spent many, many thousands of dollars on physical therapy over the years just to be able to sit. This device does not obviate all need for the laying of trained hands, but it does reduce the frequency with which such treatments are necessary, allowing me to poke and prod at all the knots in those hard-to-reach groiny places you don't talk about in mixed company on my own.
At this price point I was kinda hoping it was made out of graphite or something, but it's just sturdy plastic--like what they make milk crates out of. I don't expect it to break anytime in the near future, but the surface texture creates a bit of drag which I personally could do without. Polish those knobs.
Product Review: If you don't live with a massage therapist... Summary: 5 StarsThis ugly conversation piece is a life saver. Although you may want to keep it at home and not at your desk, as it won't fit in a drawer, and is bound to initiate more discussion than you want to make about the benefits of trigger point therapy.
But for the many of us who suffer from shoulder tension and the resulting hand and arm numbness, a quick pull on this tool can get you back to sleep or work as the case may be.
Well worth the expense
