I am a competitive powerlifter. I have been weight lifting for 17 years and also played college football. I have had a lot of small injuries that I never took care of and are coming back to get me. I learned that I had tight spots all over my body and were causing me pain when I lifted weights. My chiropractor does active release therapy which gets out the tight spots. This is great but I could only go to the chiropracter once a week. I bought this stick and it has been a huge help in getting out those tight spots on my own. The great thing about is it I can use it on MYSELF and still get effective therapy. My muscles have loosened up and I feel so much better.
I'd recommend buying the Big Stick massager stick as well as the theracane. Both have really come in handy.

This is an awesome tool for self-massage and releasing tension points. Has helped me a lot. HIGHLY recommend getting the Trigger Point Therapy book as well. Very enlightening and helps to understand why you have certain pains. I've learned a lot about muscles, and the TheraCane helps to free up those tense muscles and promote better function.Product Review: Excellent tool

Great tool, especially for a woman's back. My back is small enough for the little knobs to really push in between my shoulder blades if I alternate each side holding it on a 45 degree angle from my shoulder to my lower back. I have the Backnobber "S" shape, and this is much easier to hold on a spot and and maneuver around. I liked this one so much I got a second one to keep at the office and am also giving one to my Mom for her birthday. Highly recommended.Product Review: Excellent!
