I have a lovely child with a touch of ADHD and an active imagination. She has a hard time staying on task and has no idea what "we are in a hurry" means. I love this timer -- it has a very visual representation of how much time has elapsed, she sets it herself, and checks back and is shocked shocked shocked to discover that she's out of time.

I think it's important to point out that it takes patience and humor -- not just a something you buy -- to address her issues but I think it was a good purchase.

That said, this timer is a bit more fragile than I like -- you set it by moving the actual clock hand -- which is good for her -- but the face is flimsy plastic and I expect the two year old will destroy it.
