This item is useless. When used, it manages to amplify noises much better then any other sounds, plus it adds quite a bit of white noise itself. I had to use it without any of the ear plugs to get the "best quality" sound, and even then I could understand speech much better without it, then with it. Do not buy it. I purchased this amplifier for my 88 year old mother who has trouble hearing. It only produced static and proved to be too difficult for her to fit in her ear and then turn it on per the instructions. Definitely not a device for older people. It did not amplify any sound for her, just static and even when reading through all the reviews and adjusting as people suggested, we just could not get it to work.Product Review: Device not really working

I bought this for my uncle who's having hearing problem, with the hope that he can watch TV without turning up the volume. But it does not really improve his hearing. I tried it myself and could hear that the sound got amplified but so did ambient noise. The feedback was quite bad that I could hear my own breathing. It's difficult to conduct a normal conversation wearing this device.Product Review: Didn't work

I got this for my mom....they were excited...then the got it all plugged in and the thing never charged...no green light. Now when you plug in the charge to the stealth the red light comes on.....plug the adapter into the wall to charge....no lights at all. I was disapponted and after talking to many folks these are a hit and miss deal, some work some don'e.
What a bummer.....ended up getting a different type that works for mom and she's happy with that but returning the thing is a hassle so I'm out the $$ too.
Product Review: Didn't work at all ... and now can't get a refund

I gave this as a gift, and by the time I found out that it didn't work, Amazon will not refund the non-working item because the refund time has expired. So I've wasted my money AND now need to find a replacement gift. I guess I won't order anything like this again from Amazon. I'd rate it less than 1 star, but the system won't let me. Argh!
