I'm not sure why there have been other complaints about this product ripping or being hard to put on. I have had no trouble at all with mine and have found they are quite easy to put on and remove. I don't think I could rip them if I tried. I love not having to worry about what kind of gunk it building up inside my toothbrush. My only complaint is the colors. I would prefer to have a pack of all clear.Product Review: Yes, they work!

After purchasing my first electric toothbrush, I saw the reviews about cleaning issues the brush had. So I decided to get these as well and they are worth the investment! It has definitely helped keep the "ick" areas that others have complained about clean. They are a little hard to get on at first, but I suspect that's why it can keep a good seal and keep the water and toothpaste out of the working parts. I imagine they will last a really long time, so I have two back ups for a really, really long time since they come in a 3 pack. Bonus, it glows in the dark!Product Review: actually useful

They help identify Sonicaire toothbrushes which is helpful if your bathroom has more than one. Plus, they actually keep out the "plaque-gouk" from seeping down into the toothbrush. If you don't know what I'm talking about and you have had the sonicaire for 6+ years, that means you never replaced the brush. DO NOT UNSCREW and OPEN because you'll gross yourself out. Maybe incinerate the toothbrush. and get a new clean tooth brush. You're gross.Product Review: effective but flimsy - for the first brush

I was a bit afraid after reading some reviews here, but I am very pleased with the product, it keeps the toothbrush gunk-free. and if you put a bit of cornstarch in it before sliding it, it will be easy as a breeze..
