I tried to use the roll for a couple of weeks but continuously woke up with neck pains. I'm a petite person and wonder whether the roll itself is just too large for my neck, or whether I'm using it incorrectly. I've been using the more expensive pillow for over 17 years but switched to the McKenzie Roll for travel because of the reviews. While it worked almost as well as the pillow there is strong out-gassing which I found came from the cover not the foam. The problem is solved by washing the cover before use.Product Review: Excellent neck support!

I purchased this on the recommendation of my rehab therapist to help with my headaches. I commonly wake up in the morning with a migraine and she thought it might help. It's been great! It slips into the pillow case with your regular pillow and supports your neck without shifting. I'm really glad I have it.Product Review: Does Not Work Well

I purchased the item due to the comments, yet when using while traveling it was too stiff and I ended up using a towel rolled up instead. The free towel was much more effective. When returning the item, it would cost me $6 for a $12 item, yet I believe that it was not effective as advertised. Use a towel, you will be much happier than dealing with the vendor !
