After many years of owning a traditional heating pad, the plug in kind. I wanted the convenience of a microwaveable version. Yes, it is convenient as I can use it anywhere in my home, the problem is: It doesn't get hot enough even after microwaving it double the reccommended time, it still isn't as hot as I am used to from my old heating pad. Diddo for the pilow I also purchased. I will stick to my old heating pad works much better!
