I am disappointed with the product. Switch II works fine but Switch III doesn't work properly. As a matter of fact, I suspect that it broke my CD player because there was a spark that occurred in the Clapper when I first used Switch III. Upon a closer look at the product, I noticed that the logo UL was nowhere to be seen. (UL is an independent safety science company. UL, or Underwriters Laboratories, has been certifying products for safety since the late 1800's. See [...]) Therefore, I am assuming that the product was not tested for safety by an independent company. I've been ordering products from Amazon for years and this is the first time I am disappointed with an order.Product Review: Not using it anymore

Sometimes this just got annoying. It's not like the commercial, it's either TOO sensitive, or not sensitive enough. It has a dial, but it's kinda worthless. The remote worked for about a week, and that's the main reason I got it. Now when we are making a little noise in bed it turns on, wakes us up, and we have to sit there for 5 minutes clapping to get the thing off. I have unplugged it now. Don't have it in your bedroom, any other place might be a little better, and get the regular clapper, the extra price for the remote is like buying a piece of useless plastic.Product Review: Not worth the money

I have both the Clapper and the Clapper Plus. I bought mine for $29.99 from the sharper image.
What I liked: The only thing I liked about the Clapper Plus is that it comes with a remote. Very handy for when I read or watch TV at night and I just don't want to get up to turn off the lights.
What I don't like: Like the Clapper, it is sometimes too sensitive to sound and turns off and on when unwanted. I can clap on and clap off my original Clapper just fine, but the Clapper Plus has a problem with the sound activation. This becomes a real problem when I cannot find the remote. For some reason, it keeps giving me the error light (when the 2 red light blinks at the same time).
Suggestion: I recently found many wireless switches selling for as low as $15, and I think that's a better bet.

I wish I could rate my Clapper but I'm still waiting for it. My estimated delivery was Jan 5 - Jan 8, 2009 but As-Seen On TV didn't even notify USPS there was a package to pickup until Jan 8 but other then that I can not get any tracking information. Yes that's right USPS has not updated the tracking for at least a week. Even the Pony Express delivered across country quicker then this. I will never buy from As-Seen On TV again.
