I registered for this item thinking it would be a great idea. I tried it out on myself, and after five minutes, it was still trying to read my temperature. I immediately returned it to the store!

The pacifier thermometer... a brilliant idea that was no doubt invented by a parent. This nifty item is deemed "the tender way to take your child's temperature." Indeed. Made with an orthodontic nipple and impact-resistant plastic, this pacifier-style thermometer indicates, after 90 seconds, if your child's temp is 99.9 degrees F or above with a sweet rendition of "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star" and then monitors baby's temperature every five minutes for up to 25 minutes. After 25 minutes, it automatically shuts off. A small LCD displays the reading for accuracy and a plastic storage cap keeps it clean and protected between uses.
