Product Review: Great for Seniors

My mom had lots of problems with the remote control for her new flat panel TV (often getting it stuck in video mode vs. TV viewing). So I had to go "fix" her TV each time that happened (which was often). The main problem is most remote controls are not simple to use for seniors. This remote control is a great product. I followed the instructions to set it up for my mom and it only took about 1 minute to set up and function with her new flat panel TV. It has worked flawslessly!!! It is a great product. The only negative (and it is minor) is that you can't enter a channel number, but that is a very minor issue. My mom really likes it - simple to use, good size buttons and the buttons are back-lit. I have not had to "fix" her TV at all since I gave her this remote control....it's a wonderful product.

I bought this 6 button remote for my 94 year old father. He got a new flat screen TV and the remote that came with the new TV was unusable to him. The large 6 button , Tek Pal remote, is great. I gave this remote to my 95 year old friend. He could no longer use the remote he had due to decreased dextarity in his hands. With this remote he is able to turn the TV on and off as well as switch channals easily. He voted it the Best Christmas Gift Ever.
