I bought this for my 80 year old mother who has macular degeneration resulting in very limited eyesight. She loves this remote because of the six very large buttons that are easy to see and easy to operate. With her other remote, she kept hitting buttons that would change the set-up of her TV resulting in me having to re-do her set-up at least once a month. That won't happen with this remote. This remote is ideal for seniors and people with limited vision who simply want a remote to turn-on their TV and adjust the channels and volume. I purchased this remote for my mother-in-law who has suffered a stroke. The simple, large buttons for a tv only has been a lot easier for her to handle. I would recommend this remote for any elderly person who only uses a tv because those remotes with the dvd/vcr controls only serve to confuse the elderly user.
