I've used Tecnu products for years now, unfortunately I'm highly allergic to any of the poison 3. I got into the stuff this year and had to get more Tecnu, found their new product and gave it a try and I'm more than glad I did. This stuff does what it says it does after you break out. For me, I have to always go get the shot, but this works to keep the itching and rash down as well as help to keep from spreading, will even help draw out the poisons that cause the rash!Product Review: This did not work for me.

I used this product over and over and it's not helping. Sure it takes away the itch, but there's NO WAY it removes the oil. I use it twice a day, I've had poison ivy for FOUR WEEKS now. I have yet to use this product, but it sounds like it will work well, when ever I would need to use it. The shipping/processing speed was a little slower than I would have liked, but it did arrive with in the shipping dates given.Product Review: Well, to my great surprise, this stuff works.

I am in the middle of enduring a nasty case of poison ivy, mainly located on my forearms. After using calamine, cortisone cream, and Benadryl gel with not much lasting relief, I tried the first other thing I found on the pharmacy shelf.
I didn't really read the bottle very closely-- if I had, I probably would not have purchased it. I didn't see the word "homeopathic" until after I got home and tried it out. I put homeopathy in the same category as astrology and other pseudo-sciences. But to my great surprise, this stuff actually quelled the itching and burning pretty quickly after application.
I still don't believe in the theory behind homeopathy, attributing whatever its claimed "successes" are to the placebo effect. Yet whatever else they put in this stuff apparently has helped my otherwise-intractable rash quite nicely.

I have grown more sensitive to poison ivy over the years (I could easily make direct skin contact as a teen with no ill effects - I'm in my 30's now). My last outbreak about a year or two ago required a prescription from the doctor to take control of it.
I had tried a Tecnu Poison Ivy Scrub (not sure if it was the same formulation) a few years ago and it did not help much. However, this time around, it seems to work very well - I'm not sure if this was a weaker strain of poison ivy than I had previously or this formula works much better - or both. :)
I did notice it seemed to help alleviate the itching quite quickly and effectively.
I used it as directed with COLD water. I also took SHORT showers every other day for a week to keep my forearms 7 wrists (affected areas) dry and it's about 50-65% cleared up after less after a week and TWO uses.
I'm going to buy a couple more tubes to have on hand the myself and the rest of the family.
