This is very handy, especially when traveling with kids who have so much gear and toys. It saved me a couple times from going over the 50 lbs weight limit. it can also be used to weigh other things around the house. for example the carseat and handbag.... incase you are curious.
oh and is small enough to pack in corner of suitcase to weigh luggage on the way back. Only reason I gave it 4 and not 5 stars is becasue sometimes it can be tricky since it has one button it can be difficult to get the timing down for weighing luggage or/and sometimes switches into kg. I am sure if i sat down with instructions i could work out the kinks but i dont have the patience

I bougth this luggage scale on Dec 2008, and It really helped me.
At the beginnig I tried to measure the luggage in the incorrect way, I tried by pulling up the scale too fast, and all I got was a beep and always the same number, I thought the scale was bad.
Then I realized that all that I had to do is to pull it up slowly but continuos, this way everything just worked fine!!
It really helped me a lot when traveling, I am bad weigth guesser, since I have it I definitile had improved!! :D
You can select Lbs or Kilos (in my case I use more the Kilos, you change this by clicking twice the button just after turning it on ---for turn it it on just press the button ;)--)
I'm giving 4 instead of 5 just because I had to figured out to change to kilos and the hard time I got when use it for the first times.
After that, this product works, I recommended.

I bought this scale for a recent trip. I used it to 'fine tune' my weight at 50lbs in each bag. It sure was nice walking up to the 'check in' desk already knowing my bag weighed 49.8 lbs!! Unit seems to handle the weight just fine. Great purchase!Product Review: Great for weighing when traveling
