Product Review: Cansave a serious traveler a fortune

I used this for the first time this week and it saved me $98 ($49 each way)! This is the overage fee many airlines charge for a bag if it is even a half of a pound overweight. Just be sure to allow a pound or two so you can add it to your suit case and have a little bit of weight to spare. I was packing training materials for a trip and stopped at 48.5 pounds at home, then added the scale to my bag. Sure enough, the airline weighed me in at 49.5 pounds and I escaped a $49 penalty each way by the skin of my teeth.
I've tried using the bathroom scale in the past but it has never been that accurate. I travel extensively and I'll never travel without it again!

I bought this scale for an overseas trip to be sure of not going over weight. It was easy to use and bring with me for using as things in my bags were rearanged and the next leg of my travels resumed. I was pleased to see the airport scale agree with the readings I had, and that I was able to load my luggage within half a pound of my limit and not pay for overage. I know it has paid for itself on this one trip alone. It is easy to change between Kg and Lbs. Has auto shut off and is very small and light weight itself. Scale is also very easy to read with the clear LCD display. It also reads in 1/10 Lb increments. Could not be happier with this purchase.Product Review: Compact, Good Value. Just what I needed

I have been shopping around for such a scale since the last time I had to pay for a luggage that went over the allowable individual limit. The annoying thing is that I had 2 suitcases and the combined weight was within the sum of the individual limits! You would think that's acceptable but not by their rules. I intend to carry this scale with me on my next overseas trip and spread out the weight on my way back. No more weighing myself on a weighing machine, then carrying the luggage and re-weighing again and do mental math to subtract the two weights :-) This scale does it well.Product Review: Dead Battery

Someone else complained about their battery being dead. Mine wasn't "totally" dead, you just got a continued battery warning and it would cut off. I was able to make it work to get us through the trip but not happy that I have to change batteries on a new unit.
Other than that, this thing will save your financial life. We once had a bag over 50 pounds and they charge you a small fortune for that. This helps you to balance the load. Very handy.
