Product Reviews of Taylor 8120 Digital Luggage ScaleProduct Review: Great product and perfect weight measurement. Summary: 5 Stars
This is a very handy tool while on vacation. This is very simple to use and can be store in the luggage itself. The weight measurement differs only in around 1 LB when measured multiple times.I highly recommend.
Product Review: Great! Summary: 5 Stars
I love this thing. It's super easy to use, and quick; it's way better than standing on a stupid bathroom scale and subtracting your weight. One thing though: You need to leave more than the recommended 500g of wiggle room, as a suitcase of ours was measured at 20.2 kg at an airport scale and then I measured it at 19.2 kg with the Taylor. Impossible to say which one is correct but it's irrelevant -- you need to leave margin for error.
Product Review: I will never travel without it, but it's not perfect Summary: 5 Stars
I needed a portable scale for a long multiple journey trip I was taking for a month. This scale was very handy to always know that I was under that magic payment barrier for airline travel. It also helped me be sure I was carrying the heavier suitcase between my fiancee and myself. The only imperfection in this scale is that depending on how you pick it up, sometimes it will be slightly off. I've found that trying to use two hands, trying to lift in front of your body, or jerking the scale when you lift will cause it to go off. Instead, I just place the bag with scale by my side, weight it, then weigh it a second time just to be sure. I always allow at least 0.5-1.0 lb excess due to error on this scale, or the one at the airport. I've never been served wrong. With that, this item gets a well deserved five stars - I would never go anywhere without it if I needed to weigh anything.
Product Review: IT WORKS! Summary: 5 Stars
Bought this for our kids who were going back overseas with our new grandson & worrying that their luggage wouldn't exceed the airline allowances. Baby clothes, gear, etc. had added so much to what they'd come home with. The luggage scale was dead-on accurate, matched the airline's scale and they squeeked by with out extra charges. Later that month they sat baby in a duffle & weighed him as well!
Product Review: It saved me $$$ Summary: 4 Stars
This isn't the easiest scale to use, but it's pretty darn accurate. I weighed my luggage in the hotel room after souvenir shopping and it was 50#. It weighed in the same at the airport (thank goodness). It feels substantial enough to indicate it will last a while. We pack it when we travel and it doesn't add a lot of weight or take up much space.
