Good stuff! You just take it out of it's box, put it on the floor, stand on it, and there you go! When I first purchased it, I was worried that it would take a whole lot of manipulation to get it working, like just about all electronics these days. But I was so very pleasantly surprised when it JUST WORKED!
It's a small, simple scale that doesn't look half-bad, and it's a way that we can actually manage to use the metric system here in America. Just what I wanted. : )

Sometimes it goes on the fritz and flashes 12:00 -- maybe it's an identity crisis? I've taken time out of my day to just sit with the scale in a quiet room and reassure it that it's a great scale and doesn't need to be something else to fell fulfilled. I bought this scale for its price (the cheapest electronic scale) and was surprised by its quality. As other reviews say, it is a little small compared to others, but it is very light weight and easy to use. I plan to use this in a kindergarten classroom, which is carpeted. I've tested the scale on both carpet and hard floor and both gave me the same weight. (Not very intensive research, but passed my test!)Product Review: Great Scale

This scale is good-looking, easy to read, and gives consistent, accurate readings. I would buy the same model again if I needed another scale. It's probably the best scale I've owned, and it is inexpensive, which is another plus!
