There may only be seven reviews for this scale, but there's a reason that all seven of us have rated this product with 5 stars; it is a marvelous machine. You get 5 numbers: weight, body fat, muscle mass, water percentage and bone mineral mass. There is an athletic setting and a regular setting. When I checked body fat (the most examined number) in both athletic and regular mode, the range of fat seemed consistent with a range for my height, weight and build. Obviously, each user will choose the setting that seems most accurate to them (athletic or normal).
The only issue that I have with the scale is in the length of time that information is displayed. Weight is flashed three times and then is solid for about 5 seconds before the scale turns itself off. As well, the body percentages cycle three times before they turn off. I would prefer for the numbers to show as long as you are on the scale. I think that the manufacturers designed it that way to preserve battery life.
Nevertheless, if you do repeated tests within the same time span, you get consistent results (no variations). So, the consistency alone is the main reason for getting this scale. I highly recommend this product. Even if you just use it for the scale it's worth it.

I had used a friend's electric scale and everytime I stepped on it I got
a different number. Not with this product, the scale is accurate and consistent. After entering my age, height and gender, the scale gave
me the percentage of my fat, muscle, water and bone density. Once when
it read ERR I dampen my feet with a wet cloth, and then I got a reading.
I have had it for a few days, and I have to say overall I am impressed.
The specifications state that the scale is able to handle up to
440 pounds, so this is built for heavy duty work. There is a feeling
of elegant quality with this scale.

We have tested with the dr's scale and it is pretty right on. I haven't used the body fat or water weight measurements yet but I like the way it looks. Wish it had a backlight but turning on the bathroom light works just as good.Product Review: Accurate and Easy to Use.

We have been using our scale for about a month now and are very satisfied with the acuracy and the ease of setting up the programming. Like any other body fat scale it's only accurate if you take the reading first thing in the morning and use the readings over a long period of time, because it can be off by as much as a couple of points on certain days when you're dehydrated or for what ever reason can't get an accurate reading.
