Product Reviews of Talking Time, Month and Date Alarm ClockProduct Review: Talking clock - a big hit with seniors Summary: 5 Stars
We purchased this clock because my mother has recently lost her site and wanted to be able to know the time. We had purchased a talking watch, but that didn't do the trick. So we thought getting a talking clock would be the ticket and it is. In fact, everyone in her senior housing building wants to get one. Also, her hearing is not good either and the voice on the clock is loud and very clear. Thank you for a great product.
Product Review: good clock Summary: 5 Stars
I gave this clock to a lady I know in a nursing home. She is hearing and sight impaired. She can hear and see the time and says she likes it. I was afraid she couldn't hear the announcements because of the British accent the lady has. She really likes the time and date feature. I highly recommend this clock. Easy to set manually for initial setting.
Product Review: it will announce time Summary: 3 Stars
The announcement of time format is too formal(personal preference), it'll announce as 43min pass 5 pm or half pass 10 am instead of just saying 5 forty-three pm or 10 thirty am that make the long story short. Other then that everything is fine, the announcing voice and alarm is clear with the high volume setting (but not loud at all). I'm nearsighted can't see anything without my glasses, and I only use the clock to know what time it is when I wake in the middle of sleep, can't see the clock in dark anyway (no back-light or grow in the dark), don't use the hourly announcement cause that's the time I sleep. Have no problem getting the signal in west coast.
Product Review: useless for elderly Summary: 1 Stars
Bought for my 89 year old mother. The voice is a female with an English accent and instead of saying "eight thirty", she says "half past eight". Confusing for my mother and makes this product absolutely useless to us!
