I tried both these and a similar Dr. Scholl's product, for the purpose of preventing my feet from sliding down to the toe squash zone when wearing heels. The Dr. Scholl's were too slippery and were of no help, but these work great. They're gel, with no slippery covering, so my feet stay in place. The package claims a "raised toe crest to encourage your foot's natural gripping motion. By allowing toes to move more naturally, you'll walk easier, feel more comfortable and actually enhance circulation." That might be overstating things, but I do appreciate these and am purchasing a couple more pairs.
