I brought this product from walmart at the advise of my than 2yr old son's speech therapist. This product does not work at all if your child really sucks his fingers or thum they will just lick there hands until its gone. and that does not take long. waste of money.....Do not buy this at all i just brought the Mavala hope to have better luck.Product Review: DONT WASTE THE TIME OR MONEY

I bought this as well as the Malava Stop. This product is not half as effective. This takes LONGER to ship and has to be applied 4x more then any others. The Malava is applied ONCE every TWO days and this is TWICE a day. Use the money to buy something better!Product Review: Deserves Zero Stars!

We puchased this from a local pharmacy to help our six year old to stop sucking her thumb, and it didn't work AT ALL. I put a LIBERAL amount on her thumbs, and then did the same to mine (to test it). I could barely taste a thing. It was slightly peppered in flavor, that's it. She was sucking her thumb again in minutes. I'd also like to note that my child does not like pepper type flavors, and often complains when food is "too spicy"! She has even said this of foods that are not spicy. Yet this stuff didn't even make her flinch.
I ordered Mevala Stop off of amazon, and she hasn't sucked her thumb since it arrived. I did the same test, and 9 hours later (including a shower along with dishes and scrubbing at it), my thumb still tastes VERY BAD! Skip Thum, and go straight to Mevala Stop.

We tried this on our 18 month old. He is sucking his finger raw. When we apply to his finger tip and finger he stops sucking his finger for a few minutes then keeps right on going. Very ineffective.Product Review: Didn't stop my daughter from sucking her thumb

My six year old was able to wash off the product and when it had been on for awhile, even tolerate the taste. It is made with cayenne pepper and simply not strong enough to stop a child who really really needs to suck their thumb. I ended up using another product: Malava which is currently doing the trick. Not recommended to assist with breaking the thumb sucking habit.
