Product Review: Great for "little jobs"

The swiffer Wet Jet. My wife LOVES this thing. We have had it for about 4 years now. The products and replacement stuff isn't that bad. When our first one died, we bought ANOTHER one. I don't regret it at all. However, it IS only really good at small jobs. As stated in other reviews, the spills, the muddy footprints, etc.
Even if I was using a traditional mop I'd be sweeping the floor first so I don't understand why people would complain it doesn't pick up dirt. Too noisy? NO! To big? NO! Perfect even for getting behind the commode! or between the sink and commode. At least 4 times a year, I bring a green scrub pad along just to get some of the DEEP DPWN grime that the Swiffer Wet Jet struggles to get on a weekly basis. For the money, you CAN'T go wrong!

Priced high for the value, in my honest opinion. Every time I have used this product with the same brand of floor cleaner, I usually have to mop over it or grab a clorox wipe because it leaves my linoleum sticky and unpleasant to walk on. It was great to have when I was helping raise a puppy with puddle problems, but now I find it mostly useless and simpler to just manually take care of any spills or spots that rise.
My parents have one of these, which is why I wanted to try it out - it doesn't seem to have as much of the sticky issue when used on hardwood, but still seems to be more trouble than it's worth.

I don't get why everyone is bashing this product. Obviously common sense would tell you that you need to vacuum before mopping. The anitbacterial solution has a wonderful floral scent to it. I have roughly an 1100 sq ft townhouse which is all laminate and I only need one pad to do all that and my stairs. I wouldn't say the pad is filthy after that. A bottle of solution may last 4 to 5 cleanings. It cetainly keeps my floors nice and clean and leaves a very fresh scent behind.
I would have given it five stars but after 3 years of weekly to to bi-monthly use the handle has become quite wobbely and I am shopping for a replacement. It does also leave a slight reside on my laminate as well but it really isn't that noticeable.

Now instead of washing floors on hands and knees, this really
does the job. I like the strip that you use for all your
floors and then rip off and throw out. I accidentally purchased
a box of the wet ones and they actually work as well. No big deal!
Try it if your frustrated with other mops and perhaps have problems
with knees as well.
