Product Review: Great Product!

This has made my life so much easier when it comes to cleaning a floor. I love using it in my kitchen and bathrooms. I don't understand the previous complains about the product. Yes, it doesn't pick up sand or clumps of dirt, but I would vacuum the area before I mopped anyway. It picks up spills, stains and leaves a fresh smell. I have yet to find a sticky residue on the floor after use. I would definately buy this again!Product Review: Great Product!

The Swiffer Wet Jet is a godsend in my house, where I have seven animals and a house full of tile floors. It is SO much easier than using a standard mop, and you don't have to mop with dirty water, either! Those pads are so absorbent that I can use each one multiple times! And for quick spot clean-ups, it can't be beat. I would never trade in my Swiffer Wet Jet!Product Review: Great Product!!! Easy to modify to be perfect!

I love my swiffer but give it 4 stars because of the minor inconveniences it takes to get it perfect.
Pads:
I use the "Method O-Mop All Floor Microfiber Mop Pad". These work great despite being a little larger than the swiffer pads. Also they are reusable (machine washable) and hence end up being much cheaper than the disposable pads.
Liquid Cleaner:
You can actually use your favorite cleaner. You have two choices to get the bottle opened.
1) Use a pair of pliers to unscrew the bottle cap on the "top of the bottle". Pour in your cleaner and screw back.
2) Drill a hole (about 1/2 inch in diameter)on the "bottom of the bottle" that faces up when you mop. Pour in your favorite cleaner and use a cork stopper. This is what I use because I never have to take the bottle out of my swiffer. Also best to get a small funnel when you pour in your cleaner into the bottle - makes it a lot easier. You can easily find assorted cork stoppers and funnels for cheap on Amazon or other sites.
With these adjustments, my swiffer works perfectly.

Product Review: Great Product- worth a chance!

I have had a hard time figuring out the best way to clean my tile flooring. I started with a clorox ready mop- what a piece of junk. The spray mechanism kept breakting. I never felt as though the floor was clean- I would end up having to take out a scrubber and do things by hand. So then, fed up with the product, I went to the traditional mop. This has been a great thing for the most part. I feel as though I can really clean and scrub my floors. However, it was such a pain and a lot of work. I still needed something that would allow me to do a quick touch up around the highchair- or doing areas of the house that just needed a little sparkle and shine. I picked up the Swiffer Wet Jet and have been in mop heaven! Here is a quick list:
Pros:
Easy to work with
Heavier duty, heavier than the ready mop which helps with the elbow grease
Nice smelling cleaner
Easy to assemble
Cleaned up dried baby food like a charm!
Swivels around furniture nice
Get's into the corners and along the edges of the cupboards without soaking them
Easy to take with me to all the rooms in the house- I did my kitchen, hallway, and two bathrooms with the same pad, no problem.
I did the white sock test- and it passed!
Cons:
The pump sprayer is kind of noisy, its like a mid pitch whine. You get used to it, but it took me off guard
It was a little more expensive than I would have liked- but worth the few dollars extra than the ready mop. Best to wait until you have a coupon to buy the starter kit.
Haven't figured out how to refill the bottle of solution with my own concoction- so you're stuck with the swiffer brand stuff.
Scrubber pad takes some coordination to use- and it doesn't scrub all that well IMO
Product Review: Great floor glue, not great cleaner

In ADDITION to the problems others have described in these reviews, the wood floor cleaning fluid leaves our floors so sticky in humidity (like when anyone in the house has a shower or when our Chicago weather is humid -- read June to Sept) that we have to peel our bare feet off the floor with every step. You have NO idea how horrible it is. We've had the same floor for years, used to wash them with pinesol in water and never a problem. Now, I feel like we could swiffer the side of a high-rise and walk up it like spiderman. Heck, if I could do that, at least I might have gotten some use out of the thing. As it stands now, with the horrible solution they use, this Wet Jet is going in the dumpster. I feel like too big a dork having to put my socks on before I step off my shower mat. Kinda defeats the "convenience" factor of saving having to take out a bucket once a week if every single morning every person in our family has to reach for their towel AND socks before they can step out of the shower.
