Product Review: Great last minute helper
Summary: 4 Stars

These sheets are basically like moist fabric softener sheets. I ordered some, and then had to wait to try them out- until I needed them. Well, I pulled out a pair of "dry clean only" black wool blend slacks which were more wrinkled than I'd like, but I was in a time crunch and didn't want to get out the iron. I tossed these into the dryer with a sheet while I took a shower and got ready. I didn't mind the scent at all, actually, and I do not have a steam feature in my dryer. After about 20 minutes or so, I removed the slacks, and sure enough- the sheet had done the job- not as perfectly as an iron, crispness wise, but certainly a fine job. I was very pleased, and will use them again!

Product Review: Great product to have on hand at a great price - bachelors will LOVE them

Update: This gives your clothes a very strong 'fresh' scent that lingers through the day. At first I didn't mind this scent at all, but now it really bugs me. I think its potentcy varies depending on how many clothes you swashed at once, the dryer settings and/or time in the dryer/time since you swashed them. But since Swashes are for 'emergency' cleaning chances are you will be wearing the clothes immediately, so the scent can be overpowering, like sitting in your cubicle at work when you have mistakenly overapplied perfume or cologne and it makes you lightheaded.

I work from home, so my jeans and t-shirts don't get very dirty over the course of a day - just *worn*.

I have always been kind of a stickler for only wearing clean clothes though, so I wash everything after one wear. Probably not very eco-conscious. Also, I realize it reduces the lifespan of my clothes.

So when I was offered to try Swash, I jumped at it. This morning I grabbed 5 garments (recommended amount per 'swash') that I had only worn one day each and threw them in the dryer with a sheet. 10 minutes later, they were fresh, warm, unwrinkled, smelled great, and I had no problem wearing them for the day.

Could I tell that they had not had a full wash? That's tough to say. Its largely psychological. All that matters to me is that yes I would wear them and it wouldn't bother me like un-swashed clothes.

What it comes down to is that if I needed some fresh clothes in a pinch, I would *absolutely* Swash them without hesitation, and I would be really glad I had them on hand.

Also, lets say Saturday morning rolls around and I haven't done laundry all week - I don't want to do it on my weekend! BOOM - in 10 minutes I can have 2 pairs of jeans, tshirts, boxers and socks swashed for $.93 and I'm good for the weekend.

Although I don't travel as much as I used to, these would be IDEAL for travelers, especially if you used a good hotel where you could tip someone to just dry your stuff for 10m.

You could also just keep a few worn items in your backpack, briefcase, or handbag with a swash, and have your cab bring you to a local laundrymat and idle for 10 minutes while you swashed. I mean - its *10 minutes*!

This is a very easy product to recommend anyone at least *try*, because its cheap, works well, and is no-risk. I can't imagine anyone keeping these in their laundry room and not appreciating having them on hand when needed!

I would even go so far as to say that this could justify a $300 compact dryer purchase for apartment dwellers. Between occasional hand-washing and swashing it could dramatically cut down on trips to to the cleaners and weardown on clothes.

Product Review: Great to have for a laundry emergency

I like these handy little shortcut emergency cleaners. The real test was when my friend used this product on his workout clothes and it really did the job well. The scent is almost too strong, but it was very effective in restoring usablity to excercise clothes that he forgot to wash. He didn't stink at all, which I thought was amazing considered that he had a sweaty workout the day before in the same clothes. He said that the product was equivalent in effectiveness to a different brand that he recently used.

Product Review: Great to have on hand for last minute 'refreshing'
Summary: 4 Stars

I used to use Dryel in similar situations - needing to refresh clothes that weren't quite in need of a full wash or dry cleaning. I eventually stopped using Dryel because the scent was simply way too strong.

I love this Swash product! I used it with 2 sweaters, 2 pairs of dress pants and a pair of jeans. The scent is lovely. Not too strong or flowery. It smells like a nice clean fabric softener.

I didn't give it 5 stars only because it didn't completely remove the creases in the jeans and dress pants. They were almost gone but still slightly visible. I will play with the dryer settings next time to see if a hotter temperature and/or longer cycle gives them more of a freshly pressed look.

Overall the product does what it claims. I will definitely keep these on hand to freshen up my clothes. It's great that it only takes 10 minutes too. You can easily throw it in the dryer before work if you realize you don't have anything ready that morning.

Product Review: Hate to wash clothes that aren't dirty, like to wear clothes that smell and feel clean? - this works, but may be overkill
Summary: 3 Stars

Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Program (What's this?)
When re-washing seems like overkill, but re-wearing would be way too casual, these come in handy. Especially useful for emergency situations when you've run out of fresh clothing but you've got a few things that have been worn but aren't dirty. Especially for clothing that can't be washed and needs to go to the dry cleaner, this is a very nice and inexpensive alternative. I thought these might turn out to be no more than a gimmick, but after a few tries it feels like the real thing.

Some days I don't put a lot of wear on my clothing. I put on a pair of jeans or slacks and drive to work and sit in an office all day. When I'm home it feels wasteful and unnecessary to drop them in the laundry, or worse, take them to a dry cleaner if they can't be washed - but I have to admit that a freshly laundered pair of pants is more appealing the next morning. Not only do worn pants smell less than fresh, there's a tell-tale "crumple" that reminds me I've already worn them. Dropping them in the dryer or ironing gets rid of most of the wrinkle but they still don't feel fresh. These "Steam It Out" tumblers seem to do the trick, leaving my pants as fresh feeling as if I'd just washed and dried them, and it's quicker and easier than lugging out the ironing board and waiting for the iron to heat up and then doing all the rest. The little towelettes are moist and lightly scented, and when you throw them in the dryer it adds the two missing ingredients of light steam plus a clean scent, that seem to work out the wrinkles and leave my pants feeling fresh.

You can, of course, only use these with fabrics that won't get damaged by putting them in the dryer. For me that's most everything, including most items I'd usually have to take to the dry cleaner. Even though they can't wash, most can handle ten minutes in the dryer. I've only tried these with jeans and slacks and it works great with both. They would work as well with shirts as with pants, but I don't think I'll ever have the need to use this with shirts, since after a day of even light wear they tend to get slightly soiled and mildly aromatic (around the armpits). They recommend a limit of about 5 items of clothing per "Swash", and that seems about right to me. Works fine, but a dryer sheet and a damp towel would probably do as well, and would certainly be cheaper.
