I'm using this as a heater for my home brew fermentation chamber, and it has been quite effective. I've set it up with the JC to control the temperature, and have it taped to the side of a small chest freezer. I wanted one without the auto shut-off, and so this works great.Product Review: Works for me!

This certainly does not get as hot as the vintage model heating pads, but it gets the job done. It does seem to get hot and stay hot for several minutes, and then go through a short "cool-down" cycle, before getting hot again. That feature can be a little annoying, but I'm sure it's there as a safeguard.
The outer blue cloth pad is soft and comfortable to use, even on bare skin. The electric cord is long, and the dial is easy to use and read.

I ordered this heating pad on 11/04/09 and received an email on 11/13/09 stating that it was out of stock. I cancelled the order when I received the email from AmericaRX, but they sent it anyway.
I called them and they said to return the package and I would get my refund of $14.80. I still do not have my refund.

The heating pad works great and the different temperatures are great. Especially if you have back problems. I would recommend this to everyone.
