We use these to take care of orphaned and injured wildlife. We put the heating pads under crates and kennels to keep the baby animals warm. We need the heating pads that do not have an auto turn off and these do not. They get a lot of use from us and are left on for hours and days at a time and they hold up very well. I have not had one quit working on me yet in the 3 years I have been doing wildlife rehab.Product Review: Value for Money

I bought three of these to go under animal cages. It does say not to put anything on top of them, so I raise the cages slightly, but they have been a huge hit. Like other reviewers have said, they provide a nice even heat. The thing I also like about them is they are very portable - you can just roll one up and take it with you, which, when you work with animals, is a great thing to have. I also like that they have a removeable washable cover... another great thing to have when you are using them with animals!
