Product Review: Great Idea, Poor Design

I bought one to go on a Bob Stroller and while I love the concept the design does not work for me. The problem is in the mounting of the arm that picks up the pulse from the magnet on the wheel. The arm and it's method of mounting are not secure or rigid enough to consistently keep it close to the magnet for a prolonged period of time. The whole principle of how this unit works it that the sensor mounted near the wheel picks up a pulse from the magnet mounted on the inside of the wheel and sends a wireless signal to the digital control unit. When the sensor is too far away from the magnet, none of the features pertaining to distance or speed will work. It worked fine for it's maiden voyage and after that I have to readjust it every time I want to use it. To me it's not worth the money with if you have to fool with constantly. Wonderful product!
I run/walk with a jogging stroller every day in warm weather. Before I purchased this, I would drive my route to found out the mileage and then time myself to and try to figure out all the info I wanted. The Strollometer makes it so easy! Provides mileage, time, temp, miles per hour, and more. Easy to install, instructions were good. I have not had any problems with it, it calculates correctly.
I purchased a nice pedometer at the same time I bought this. The pedometer was much harder for me to set, I do not get an accurate reading and it doesn't calculate correctly when I run.
I read all of the reviews before I purchased the Strollometer, thinking it was to good to be true, but this product is worth the money and I would definately buy the Strollometer again and would recommend it to anyone who uses a stroller to walk or run.

I was so excited when I came across the Strollometer. It was easy to set up on my Mountain Buggy. When I first started using it, I was logging about 2 ? miles a day. I'm now up to 4 miles. This little gadget is a great motivator!

This thing is such a pain in the rear. The arm that attaches to the wheel gets bent and out of alignment every time you fold your stroller and the magnet has come off so many times that I ran out of replacements. When it works, it is great to have, but 90% of the time it is just acting as an overpriced handlebar clock. Might be good if you never collapse your stroller, but not suitable for everyday wear and abuse of a foldable stroller that gets tossed in and out of the truck.Product Review: So much FUN!

I'm hooked on this product! It turns my strolls into an amazingly fun activity. It's interactive-ness keeps me going and going. What a neat invention!
