I too initially had some difficulties with this product as it seems the sensor wasn't reading the magnet unless it was so close it was touching, which often made the sensor knock the magnet off the wheel. After e-mailing the company ( http://www.strollometer.com/contact.html ), I was contacted by the owner herself, who was just amazing to work with. She promptly sent me a new unit and even took it out for a test run first to make sure what she was sending was in full working order. It now works like a dream and love it! I also love the fact it gives me the time and temperature, very useful. If you are finding yourself having problems with the product, or aren't sure if it's you or the product, but it just seems off, I'd say don't hesitate to contact the company, you won't be disappointed, they will make it right! Great product and great cutomer service!
