Product Review: Excellent investment for any thumb sucker!

My daughter has been sucking her thumb since she was 3 months old and we've beenhaving so much trouble getting her to quit. We invested in this thumb guard because we had no other options and were at our wits end with it, she was sucking her thumb all day long and she's almost 6. We got this and kept it on her during spring break and she' stopped sucking her thumb during the day! In just a week! She still wears it at night, and we've had to purchase additonal bands, but this product is sooooo worth the investment! I recommend it to anyone who has a child who sucks their thumb... just keep in mind that your child will fight it at first, ours fought tooth and nail and kept coming up with excuses trying to get us to take it off of her (it hurts, it's too tight, it burns, it feels weird, I don't like it, I'm going to scream until you take it off of me, etc.) you just have to stick with it and not give in, they will get used to it, and they'll give in if you don't!Product Review: Fantastic!

The ThumbGuard is wonderful! It's comfortable for my daughter to wear and inconspicuous. It came with bracelets in 3 different colors so it gives her a choice for each day. She is able to perform everything normally except tieing her shoes.Product Review: Finally something worked!

My daughter is 4.5 years old and had sucked her thumb since birth. She recently became very self-concious about her habit. She couldn't understand how the other kids at preschool were able to just close their eyes and go to sleep without sucking their thumb and she asked if I could help. We tried a few different versions of the bitter nail polishto no avail, so I did a little research and found the thumb guard. I was hesitant to order it due to the price but am so glad I did. She wore it round-the-clock for two weeks and after that she wore it to bed for just one more week. She told me that she didn't need it anymore after the three weeks and since it was her decision to stop sucking her thumb, I felt confident that she was ready well before the reccommended six weeks were up. She has not sucked her thumb in 2 months. One downside to this product, at least with my daughter, was that it left her skin raw in a few places. I remedied that by placing band-aids over those spots on her hand after I had washed the thumb-guard and before it was re-attached. Overall and outstanding product!!!Product Review: Great product

We purchased the thumbguard for our four year old daughter. I was amazed at how willing she was to wear the thumbguard not only at night, but throughout the day at school. She thought it was "cool" especially with the colored bracelets. We discussed the need to stop sucking her thumb before purchasing the thumbguard and she was ready to stop but needed help. The thumbguard had immediate results - no thumbsucking day or night. She has been wearing it for about five weeks now. She now only wears it at bedtime, but I'm confident we can discontinue its use very soon. She doesn't wear it at naptime any longer which is quite an accomplishment. I found it interesting that she didn't try to suck her other thumb as we only used the thumbguard on one hand. Although the product comes with two guards if that became a problem. I highly recommend this product. It was a little hard to swallow the cost, but turned out to be well worth it.
