Product Review: Helped my dislocated ribs.

After months of physical therapy, I was still having trouble with my back when I slept. About an hour before bed, I lie down on this device for about 5 minutes and I am good to go! My advice is that you MUST follow the directions in order to get the right experience. Do not expect this to be soft or so comfortable that you fall asleep. It takes some getting used to and if your back is as messed up as mine, it will take lying on it for a bit to get everything where it is supposed to be.Product Review: Loved this thing

I bought this as a gift for my dad and now I want one for myself. It's helped with his back pain a lot.
The only thing is that for me, I wish the lumbar area was raised higher, so I would get more of a stretch there.

In summary, this thing has worked for me, but consider my situation and how it applies to you before you consider this a recommendation to you. Also, keep in mind that it is rather ugly.
I am a wedding photographer on the weekends and this means that I have several pounds of gear that I am either carrying around my neck, or more typically in a hand. I walk all over, and crouch and bend and kneel to get the shots I need. After every wedding I have some aches and pains, but always a sore back. My pain is upper back, in the Thoracic region, and I understand that this isn't the typical pain region that people complain about.
Things that helped me were pills such as Excedrin Back and Body, pain creams, as well as (and I'm not kidding) a good solid punch to the middle of the back by my assistant photographer. I also found that a good deep tissue massage would completely cure me, but these aren't cheap and I'd have to wait days to schedule. I also found lying on things like golf balls and other devices placed where I had pain would give some short-term relief.
I tried a chiropractor, but that didn't do anything for me. I'm sure chiropractors are good-natured folk, but in my humble opinion, they are part manual effort and part religion where you have to believe that the treatment will work. I'm not a believer and not surprisingly it didn't work for me. Your mileage may vary.
But, this device itself has helped me. I got a few days after a wedding and in about two days it took away the pain. I also used it pre-wedding and post-wedding of the subsequent wedding and the day-after pains were greatly reduced, and completely gone in another day or two.
My wife thinks it is too hard and it hurts her, but remember I found relief from laying on golf balls so this was a lot more relaxing for me.
I only have two gripes about the product. One is the size. For something that isn't really wide it seems to be bulky to store. I know it needs enough width to not tip over, but with its considerable length it seems hard to find a place to put it away (it is like finding a home for two baseball bats). I wish it folded up for storage somehow.
The other complaint, which is related to storage, is the bright 80s-turquise and yellow colors. This is not something I can subtly put under my coffee table and go unnoticed by guests. The colors attract the eye, and the odd shape holds your attention. If it was a calmer, less-noticeable, color then its size may not be as big of a worry as it could more easily hide in plain sight.

that something so unassuming could make me feel so great!
It just arrived and I've used it twice.Not only does it give relief within minutes,I feel great when I get up.
Back pain is not uncommon as we age but many don't realize that every aspect of you body's function is controlled by the spine.
Anyone that has dealt with it knows many days are far worse than others.
I have an inversion table,Pilates and the electric massager that you sit against and this thing with no plug or wires gives me much more relief.
I'm truly amazed and pray it helps many others suffering from this kind of pain,it can be unbearable.
