I really wish I could have tried this unit. I was glad and exctied to read that people are getting relief for their back problems and I wanted so badly to see if I could join the positive experience.
I took the spine worx unit with me to my last doctor visit. I am glad I did, because with the problems I have with my spine and back, she feels that the device might cause additional problems for my personal situation. My advice is to check with your doctor and make sure it is safe for you to use for your circumstances.
I gave the Spine worx a 4 star rating because it was my own fault that I bought it without checking with the doctor and because Amazon was very nice to me and let me return the unused item with no problems.

I recently discovered this product while browsing for ergonomic chairs on Amazon. Slightly skeptical but intrigued by the mostly-positive reviews, I decided to take a gamble on it, and I'm glad I did. I'm truly impressed by how good my back feels after use of the Spine Worx. I have some disc damage and posture that's not-so-great, and lately, I've had some especially stubborn trouble in the thoracic area of my spine, which occasionally keeps me up at night. I'd been relying on Advil and increased chiro visits but have found welcome relief in this device. I respect that it won't work for everyone, but for me, it's a worthwhile addition to my back care regimen. Certainly not a replacement for a chiropractor, but a good supplement.Product Review: Did Just What I Wanted

I've gone to chiropractors (primarily the same one) for over 20 years. I ended up last year with what appeared to be a bad adjustment that left me with blinding headaches for months (although I'm really not trying to fault my chiropractor, he's a great guy and the change could have been coincidence) but I've been hesitant to go back ever since.
I get lower back pain and tension between my shoulders.
I have used this nightly now for about two weeks and I have noticed a good difference. It takes a little bit of getting used to. Let's face it, when you are lying on it, you have two rigid rows poking into your back. After the initial discomfort (about 3 minutes for me) your body adjusts and I even dozed off once. Once you have done your time (up to 15 minutes) you roll off to the side - don't try to sit up - and lay there for another couple of minutes. I get up feeling refreshed and pain free. I have often had my back 'crack' into place when I initially lay down but not always.
Make sure you put a pillow down for your head and that the higher bump is for your lower back (it is indicated by text printed on the Spine-Worx). Take your time getting used to it over a period of days or weeks and give it some time to do its thing.

I tried everything I could think of to make this work for me, to no avail. I'm sending it back. It wasn't painful or uncomfortable the way some other reviewers describe (although I've never had any kind of surgery or anything, so maybe that's a factor), it just didn't do *anything.* So frustrating. There's something really appealing about the idea of straightening out your back and putting it back into alignment. But after using this device (one time for as long as 45 minutes) I've concluded that it doesn't work for everyone.
I gave it two stars instead of one only because it seems to be solid and reasonably well-made. It's no beauty, but it won't fall apart.

This sounds like a good idea, but unfortunately I'm too tall for it. The curvature in the lower back area was good, but it didn't allow ample room for my neck. Will be returning it soon.
