Product Review: Beyond money well spent!

(As an average size/height guy 5'10) the Spine-worx seems to work excellent for my symptoms. I was in a car accident years back and life with ongoing back discomfort and a pretty frequently misaligned spine. I have been using the Spine-Worx for about a month and after each use it has alleviated my pain and discomfort and left me feeling good (basically how I feel after a chiropractic adjustment and quick massage). As the directions said, I have built up longer spans of time for which I use it over the past several weeks (without any problems). It has become just about a daily part of my life thus far. Considering 1 trip to the chiropractor is more expensive than this device, Spine-Worx is beyond money well spent in my book. (I do think they should sell them in different sizes to make the right fit for shorter or taller individuals)

Product Review: Bruising on back

My husband has been using this item for a week now. At five minutes per day it is leaving terrible bruising on either side of his spine. He is not sure if he feels any improvement. There looks like there is another product called lumbar extender. It may eliminate the bruising problem because the side supports are wider. Wish he would let me include a picture!!! Use with caution, and ONLY if a normal weight.

It's with a heavy heart that I'm giving this product one star because I think it can help a healthy person stretch and be more flexible, but even the healthy person would take risks using it.

If you have any spinal issues, including shoulder, hip, and knee problems, avoid this. It puts a lot of tension on your back and if you should stretch or move in an unpredicted way, you'll definitely pull something out of alignment. If, after stretching, you get a knee problem, see your chiropractor or other health professional immediately!

The instructions say that no one should stress you from the top (like, for example, a child, or maybe a really dumb significant other who wants to kid around) because the result could be severe injury. I believe that this is also true if you accidentally stretch in the wrong direction.

That said, the device is well-made. I'm not convinced one size fits all. If you want to pursue it, do so under the advisement of someone you trust for your healthcare.

Product Review: Cautious buyer ... but the thing really works

After much angst ... I finally purchased this product figuring if it did not work I would not have to feel too embarrassed since it didn't cost that much. Well to my surprise it works well. It is uncomfortable the first few times I used it, because it does straighten out months of misalignment. After the first time I was a little sore, but the tense ... and sometimes sharp pain in my lower and mid back was noticeably better. You really need to use it for 5-10 minutes and then roll onto your side as the instructions tell you to. If you are skeptical as I was ... I can tell you it does work. I am convinced that part of what makes it work is ... that the pain relief you experience after using this device ... allows you to move around more naturally for a period of time rather than "compensating" for the pain. This lets you rebuild muscles, etc... I don't have to use it for weeks at a time now ...
