Product Review: Don't expect a miracle

I've suffered for years and have been to many chiropractors. I'm young (28) with just a cursed bad back and I constantly need to "crack" my neck and back. This device has its' uses but keep walking if you think you're going to get a miracle for less than $30. Some of these reviews are so long and well written that I'm suspicious they're written by the manufacturer. Like the guy who owns 3 with one in his car? I don't believe him for one second. Go ahead, give it a try and see how well you drive with this thing on your back. I say give it a shot as you wont be out too much money and I bet you can always toss it back on ebay if you're not happy. I'm kinda satisfied with mine but it's not the miracle worker some of these people profess it to be. Product Review: Tremendous

Both my wife and I use the Spine Worx. She was going to a chiropractor multiple times per week and now she hardly ever goes. She had shoulder surgery and the rehab had not given her complete motion. This device has made that possible. I sit to a computer all day five days a week and often develop a knot between my shoulders. I lay on this and my back pops and I am good. This thing would be a bargain at twice the price. Try it............you'l like it.Product Review: I think it works pretty well

Ive had it for around 7-8 months and I've used it several times. It does seem to work pretty well for me. When I have a bad back ache, I'll pull it out and use it for about 10 min and I'm feeling pretty good after that. I usually combine it with trigger point therapy as well. Personally I do recommend this product to anyone with chronic back pain. I hope that helped.Product Review: Be patient and it will work!

So I bought this thing after reading a lot of reviews that stated something like "Not good if you have scoliosis" and "I hurt myself and then read the instructions and found out I did it wrong" etc.
For me, it works. It took a little practice to get used to the pressure etc. but eventually I figured out how long it took my muscles to relax so the tool could do it's deed. I found for me it works best if I use it after a hot shower when my back muscles are already mostly relaxed, and a bit longer time, maybe 20 minutes, worked best for me.
When you first use this product you will most likely feel some pain/discomfort/pressure. The way this thing works is it supports your weight laying down on the "wings" of the vertibra and when your muscles relax the pressure of your own weight forces the vertibre to straighten out in relation to one another. The main thing to keep in mind is that you need to try to totally relax, meditate, whatever, just dont over do it on the first couple of trys and follow the instructions closely when it comes to having head support IE a pillow and getting off of the thing which is achieved by rolling to the side, not by sitting up. Sitting up WILL hurt you, and it will be your own fault.
Quick note- I also use a Dr. Riter Real Ease neck relaxer, and I find it works well as the head support when I use this back thing. It adds a bit of traction to your neck, and supports the weight so that your shoulders can relax too.
It was worth the money.

3 weeks into owning spine-worx I can say that I am not feeling much change. It feels mostly comfortable lying on the device - I do feel it is relaxing my muscles, but beyond that - nothing else.
So, yes - it does seem to help relaxation part, but so does $5 pillow :)
