Product Review: Excellent complement to back care

I have had back pain on and off for years, and find this device does help keep me in alignment.
I have owned my Spine Worx about a month. It's a real stress reliever particularly after a period of extended sitting, and I believe it can help maintain alignment without (as many) expensive chiropractor visits. (I currently co-pay $45 for each chiropractor office visit, so this device paid for itself if it only reduced visits just once). 15 minutes a day along with my other exercises and stretches, and it's well worth it.
This isn't for everybody. Other reviewers have expressed appropriate cautions echoing written cautions in the printed product instructions that should be followed. It also doesn't do anything for neck alignment issues, as I have learned nerve pressure in the region of the neck (C5/C6) vertebrae can manifest in the back and shoulders/arms. You need a chiropractor to address the neck without surgery, although certain exercises and stretches can also help.
Still, as others have noted this device is well made and can help many people improve and maintain. It's also compact and lightweight enough that it could be placed in a suitcase or duffel, without too much inconvenience. I do not want to be without one of these in the future.
This is a quality-made product and well worth the price if it helps you.
Follow up -- I changed my rating from 4 stars to 5 stars because I really love this thing. Here is my new maintenance routine... you might want to try it: A massage therapist had suggested I do stomach crunches on a carpeted floor with legs elevated (calves resting horizontal on a folding chair) to help strengthen my "core" and back. It works, and I follow that by pushing the chair away and (with shoulders square on the floor) swivel slowly so my knees touch the floor one side then the other a few times. Then I move to the Spine Worx for 10-15 minutes. It makes me feel great! NO LOWER BACK PAIN at all for a few months now (keeping my fingers crossed).

I have a spine misalignment and this product helps me a lot. I use it daily, mainly with my legs elevated because it adds more pressure. I ordered this out of desperation after a slipped disc kept me bent over and in constant pain for two weeks. I have too high a deductible to run to the doctor for everything so this was my last chance before undergoing expensive tests and treatment. It worked like a charm and got my spine back in alignment. I felt a few pops and then relief. I find 6 or 8 minutes all that is needed and only when I feel back strain. I did not experience anything negative and had no trouble at all finding the right position. The Spine Worx comes with explicit instructions on how to align yourself and the proper way to get up after treatment. I can see where there could be trouble if you fail to follow these instructions. I used this in combination with the Homedic's Shiatsu massage chair and have been completely pain free for about two months now. This was pain muscle relaxers and pain killers couldn't touch!! My back was injured by a chiropractor. Long story short, I went in with no pain because I was curious about chiropractic and what it could do for me - and after several treatments I felt like I was an old man (I'm a 28 year old athlete). After an adjustment, I would feel great for 3 to 4 days and then the pain would gradually increase until I went back in for another adjustment. This went on for several months with no improvements and no end in sight. I discontinued chiropractic treatment and began to rehab myself in whatever ways I could at home and the gym. I found the spine worx online and figured it was worth a shot. I was very anxious to receive it and after my first 5 minute "adjustment" spent on it, I could tell that it was something special. I felt a little bit like a I had just gone through a chiropractic adjustment (the good feelings) and things have gotten better and better ever since. For the cost of ONE chiropractic adjustment (I feel like I was robbed of $300+ by the chiro) I definitely say that this is worth a try. Works great for me.
