Product Review: Hard Hot Water Bottle

The cover is soft but the hot water bottle itself is quite hard! We kept it to use as a foot warmer on cold nights, but it isn't a huggable bag for cramps.Product Review: How DID they do that?

As I sit and write this, my feet are warm for the first time in days, thanks to this lovely hot water bottle. I had forgotten the wonders of low tech in the cold of a New England winter. I did find just one little problem with this little gem. Somehow they have managed to get the bottle inside the little pink cozy with no apparent way to remove the jacket for washing. Mine got wet (of course) while I was filling the bottle, so I had to take the dress making shears to it!
Minus one star for having to cut the jacket off the bottle! (Who engineered this thing, anyway?) Lovely, but don't pay extra for it.

Product Review: Leaking 1 year later

I purchased this in Dec. '09, and now, just one year later, it sprung a surprise leak (no pressure, punctures, etc.) I'm disappointed, because it was great until this point.
To reference other reviews: 1. Yes, there was quite a bit of off-gassing when it was new; the fumes were too strong for my 4 year old daughter who liked to snuggle with it. It dissipated over time. 2. To remove the cover, simply empty the bottle and roll it up inside the cover by turning the "shoulders" into one another. Pretty simple- no cutting involved!
