Product Review: Pain Relief for Osteoarthritis
Summary: 5 Stars

The trick to making these work is to drink plenty of water throughout the day. (Hyaluronic acid works with water to create a natural gel-like substance that fills the joints and relieves pain.) Follow the directions on the bottle, drink plenty of water throughout the day and you should start to see some results within two weeks if you have joint pains from osteoarthritis.

I started looking into joint pains when I got tired of hearing all the horror stories from my extended family and their friends regarding knee pains. I finally found out that oral hyaluronic acid can be used to treat osteoarthritis pains and is more effective than the usual glucosamine-chondroitin combo.

I gave these to my mom who was skeptical of their effectiveness. They worked great and her doubt faded away quickly. The clicking sound her joints made when she walked went away. She no longer has stiffness and pain in the knee when waking up in the morning.

She also started recommending it to her friends at work. Most of whom are post-menopausal and have joint pains. Usually it's knee pain. They also are amazed so much of the pain goes away. Some of them have tried various expensive over-the-counter supplements that never gave them these kinds of results. Any pain left was treated with vitamin c, d3, magnesium citrate, and omega-3 fish oil capsules, which Amazon also sells.

Take a lower dose or consult your doctor if you have lymph edema, are taking blood pressure drugs, blood thinners, or taking anti-inflammatory medications (aspirin, Tylenol, Ibuprofen, Aleve, acetaminophen, etc.) before taking any hyaluronic acid.

Some misconceptions: Hyaluronic acid might not work on lower back pain or pain from rheumatoid arthritis since those are different conditions and are not related osteoarthritis. Research vitamin deficiency that leads to lower back pain (Methyl B-12, magnesium citrate, D3, comfrey ointment) and immune boosters for rheumatoid arthritis (D3, C, omega-3 fish oils capsules). Make sure you find info. based on the latest studies. Most of the data around the Net is based on out-dated studies with low-doses that are are usually ineffective.

UPDATE:
For lower back pain:
* Methyl B-12 Now Foods Brain B-12, 100 Lozenges / 1000mcg (Pack of 2)
* magnesium citrate or magnesium malate Source Naturals Magnesium Malate, 1250 mg, Tablets, 360 tablets
* Vitamin D3 at least 5,000 i.u. Life Extension Vitamin D3, 5000 IU (60 capsules)
* Res-Q Ointment (Comfrey Ointment) Res-Q Ointment .6 oz or Herb Pharm Comfrey Herb Pharm Comfrey 1 oz ( Twelve Pack)

For rheumatoid arthritis take immune boosters like:
* Vitamin D3 at least 5,000 i.u. Life Extension Vitamin D3, 5000 IU (60 capsules)
* Magnesium citrate or magnesium malate Source Naturals Magnesium Malate, 1250 mg, Tablets, 360 tablets
* Omega-3 fish oil at least 2,000 mg per day Carlson Laboratories - Super Omega-3, 130 softgels

Don't let the doctors give you doses that are too low:
I've been taking 5,000+ i.u. of vitamin D3 without any side effects for the past year. I get it by taking "30 Minutes of Sunshine". (Amazon does not sell it. It's at 30MinutesOfSunshine [dot] com) Others take 10,000 i.u. daily. So far, no one has died and no one has had any side effects. However, most of their rheumatoid hand pain goes away and they stop getting colds. In other words, they have great immune systems. This is why doctors want you to "be careful" with vitamins and take their dangerous drugs instead.
Doctors are still recommending 400 to 4,000 i.u. for Vit. D3. That amount is for children, not adults. It takes doctors a long time to catch up to the latest studies. They get away with it because all this info. is boring to read. The Vitamin D Council's website has up-to-date info. (VitaminDCouncil [dot] org)

Product Review: Weird side effects
Summary: 2 Stars

After my first dose (two pills), I experienced troubling side effects: stuffy head, headache, feeling hot from head to toe, and bloating. Not willing to give up after buying such a large bottle, I waited a few days and then tried just taking one pill with food at lunch. Most of the side effects went away, but I definitely still felt hot all over. I waited a couple more weeks and tried again; it still makes me hot. Maybe this would go away if I kept taking it, but I'm afraid I may be having some sort of allergic reaction. I've taken chondroitin and glucosamine before without any problems. So the problem must be one of the other ingredients.

Product Review: Works Great!
Summary: 5 Stars

I noticed my joints ached less within a month of taking this product. The combination of glucosamine, chondroitin, and msm is actually superior to some of the other supplements I have tried. I take the recommended dosage of 2 tablets twice a day. I would definitely recommend this product if you have joint pain.
