The clock did not keep time accurately. It was not possible to turn the volume down low enough for relaxed listening when using the earphones. Some of the recordings were of poor sound quality. Some were strange choices. Is there anyone who wants to listen to a train engine? I liked the stream recording and one of the recordings of waves, but they did not help me fall asleep. I used to have a recording of a thunderstorm that did help me fall asleep, but I didn't find this thunderstorm recording to be relaxing. Perhaps my ability to fall asleep has deteriorated.Product Review: excellent product

Love this product! The white noise has volume control, and the alarm clock feature is a bonus. The backlite is just the right amount of light to not keep my children looking at it. I have two of these and just bought one for my neighbor and she loves it also.Product Review: finally, peaceful rest

I love this machine. I sleep with the white noise on, every night and it really helps even out the background noises. I travel most of the year and it has been great to have along. The only cons I could come up with are: it doesn't appear to be usable as an alarm clock if you already have it on (possible user error, but I don't think so) and when it is plugged into an outlet the screen is pretty bright. I simply cover it with the case, and problem solved.Product Review: helps me sleep better while traveling!

I am cursed with traveling partners who snore, and I needed something to obscure the snoring noise so I could sleep. This unit helps quite a bit. I did find that most of the sounds loop frequently enough that they are annoying, however, the "ocean surf" doesn't seem to, or at least I can't notice it, and I don't certainly need variety. I use this with earbuds, by the way. I have now been on several trips with these people, and finally can sleep through the night.
I did have one issue where after leaving the batteries in it for several months between uses, the unit froze, and I was quite annoyed and thought I'd have to throw it out. I took the batteries out, let it sit for quite a while, several days, and when I put the batteries back in, it reset itself and worked fine. The batteries seem to last forever, by the way.
Have used the alarm, and like the fact that it can be set to and toggled between home and away. Unit is compact, easy to pack, comes with power cord, different plugs for multi-national use, all in all, with caveats above, recommended.
