Product Review: vibration stopped working

I bought this for a 14 y/o who simply does not hear or wake up to beeping alarms. I liked the mixture of features and the ability to adjust the volume and tone of the audible alarm, but the shaking/vibrating feature was most important. In practice, the vibration was effective as a wake up strategy. He could still lie in bed while letting it run, but at least he had an opportunity to become conscious.
Unfortunately, the vibration feature stopped working within a few weeks. I need to get on the phone and check on replacing the attachment, but I'm not particularly hopeful about a lasting fix (having read multiple reviews with similar problems).
