Product Review: Good, but not what I was expecting

It's a great alarm, but not as loud as I thought it would be. I was hoping to use it as a replacement to my other 4 alarms, but no such luck. I still need to set 5-6 alarms every morning to wake up, so it isn't really enough to do the job for a really heavy sleeper.
Before I got it, I was late about once a week, since I've gotten it (a month ago), I've only been late twice.

I live in New York and have a long subway commute each morning. To be at work on time at 8:00 AM, I have to arise at 5:45 to shower, dress, etc. Getting to bed sometimes late the evening before has plagued me with late risings. I can easily sleep through a "normal" or even my usually reliable blackberry alarm. But there is no sleeping through the Sonic Boom. My roommate (who rises much later) was displeased initially by the volume I selected which was much too high. The bed shaker is also highly effective and can be used to easily wake me up by itself without the tone. My only complaint is that it is at time too easy to deactivate the alarm 'til the next day on a particularly groggy morning. I love this alarm!Product Review: Great Alarm!

This clock it amazing - it shakes the whole bed and the volume can be fine tuned, not just set to high or low. It is simple to set up and has two alarm settings: vibrate and vibrate/buzz. I have a hard time waking up in the morning and didn't always hear my old alarm going off. The vibrating shakes me awake even if I block out the buzzing. If the volume is set to high the whole house may hear it.Product Review: Great Clock, two thumbs up

I bought this clock for my son. It's like trying to wake the dead to get him up but this clock can do it. He says it will shake you out of the bed so there is no chance of sleeping through it lol I would tell anyone that has a waking up problem to buy this clock. I bought this alarm because I had recently got a second job at night so I was only getting 5-6 hours of sleep after working 14-16 hours a day. I was having problems just sleeping through my alarm and hitting snooze without even knowing! I needed this because I was looking for the loudest alarm clock available. This alarm is very loud, but not 110 dB or so like it states. Even then it is still loud but I do NOT have the best of hearing.
It sits about 4 feet from me on my dresser and I was not going to use the vibration function at first but when I was testing it out i just had it sitting on top of the dresser and it started banging and clanging on the top of dresser and it actually makes more noise vibrating and banging and clanging on top of the dresser than the actual buzzer. So then I just use it like that, along with the buzzer, and have just a short 1" of wire exposed from the back of the vibration unit and it is taped to the back of the dresser so it doesn't go shooting off the dresser or anything. Sounds like someone banging on the walls with drumsticks.
Conclusion, this is a great product if you have trouble waking up or half waking up and falling back asleep. Also putting it out of arms reach also helps you wake up because then you have to actually get completely out of bed to turn it off.
