Just got it today, and first thing I did was test the volume. Its loud, but no louder than most alarm clocks you could pick up at a corner store. The MP3 player hook up is a neat feature, but honestly, the built in speakers in my iPod are louder than it is. The bed shaker is the only nice part about this, but it STILL doesn't shake the bed all that much (Soft bed) so i ended up dropping it into a bucket of change i keep next to my bed. Honestly, the sound of all that change rattling is a LOT louder and more annoying than the alarm clock. Over all, i give it a 3... out of 5.
