Product Review: Beware - Not the 113 decibal model

Sonic Boom makes two 113 decibel alarm clock with a Bed Shaker (identical looking to this one) but this is not it. I bought this by mistake and I'm very disappointed but it's really my bad. Identical looking with this model, the SB300ss SBD375ss are the ones with a 113 decibel alarm (supposedly louder than a smoke alarm!) The alarm on this clock is _pitiful_. It's softer than a regular alarm clock. The previous reviewer is mistaken in stating that this clock has a loud alarm. He was probably referring to one of the models I've mentioned above. Don't make the mistake I made. I gave it four stars for the bed shaker (pretty powerful!) that I put under my mattress. If this had the loud alarm I thought it had, I would have given it 5 stars. The casing is a bit crude and cheap looking (looks a lot better in the picture.) If you don't want/need the 113 decibel alarm, go with this one. Otherwise get one of the other 2 models with a 113 decibel alarm.Product Review: Excellent Product. I'm really satisfied with this.

This alarm clock is great except I definitely have to turn on both the vibrator and the buzzer. The vibrator itself is tucked into my pillow case but it doesn't wake me up alone. It is vigorous but I'm just a deep sleeper. I also wish it was able to have the radio as an alarm setting because I'm starting to sleep right through the beeping buzzer. If anyone has any suggestions for great alarms meant for very deep sleepers I'm all ears. =]Product Review: Great... but it didn't live a year

I am a very very deep sleeper, NOTHING ELSE WAKES ME UP, PERIOD. Once or twice it took my an hour or two to wake up from a nap due to exhaustion, and it has STOPPED WORKING IN 4 MONTHS. BUT while it worked it WORKED VERY WELL COMPARED TO SEVERAL OTHER SIMILARLY PRICED ALARM CLOCKS. I sleep with the vibrator under my shirt and on my neck because I don't sleep with a pillow and I can say if for some reason you don't wake up for an hour the vibrator over heats and stops working until it cools down and probabely will have a shorter life too. I've read there are newer versions that shut off before over heating made by the same company. Other alarm clocks wouldn't wake me up from my naps for hours while this one had my eyes open in a minute almost every time. You may need the 1 year warranty so save the box. As short lived as it has been I'LL BYE ANOTHER IF I HAVE TO because I've tried several others and this company is heading in the right direction.Product Review: I agree with the herd on this one...

I wear hearing aids in both ears and needed something to wake me up as I no longer have a wife to give me a morning shove. (sometimes I think she enjoyed that too much:)
It is one hell of a shaker...not the most peaceful way to wake up, but it works. I wish it would have an intensity adjustment, or at least increase gradually.
The AM/FM radio was important for me to have, and this is one of the few models that has the radio shaker combo. I'm not impressed with that part of it, and don't end up using it much.
This alarm clock does the job, but is not designed to be user friendly. It is very tippy, especially when trying to use the controls. The snooze control is too similar to the alarm off button, which has tripped me up once or twice.
I have to remember what I paid for it, and when I do that I am pleased. I wish now I had spent more for the model that alerts you when the phone or doorbell ring also, but such is life.
