Product Review: Finally an alarm clock that wakes me up!

I've always had a problem with alarm clocks: they don't wake me up. They play the music on full blast and it's not enough. This one finally wakes me up EVERY TIME because of the loud pulsating tone and matching vibration. Not only can you adjust the volume of the tone, but you can adjust the pitch too. Definitely recommend to everyone who is a heavy sleeper.Product Review: Great for marriages!

This product is worth every penny! My husband is SUCH a sound sleeper. He would set the alarm to blaring music every morning, but I was the one who had to "nudge" (well, maybe sometimes KICK) him to hit the snooze. He likes to have at least thirty minutes of pressing the snooze button before he has to get up. Needless to say I would have trouble getting back to sleep from all this music and kicking and he would get up pretty grumpy himself.
The "vibrating only" mode of this clock is strong enough to wake him up right away, but yet it is so much more pleasant than loud music or an alarm. I even wake up from the vibrating under his pillow, but when the snooze is pushed it is easy to go back to sleep because the vibration didn't make me irritated or stressed. We wake up together much more pleasant and calm.
We both love it!

I've been using this clock for a little while and haven't experienced any time loss like the other reviewers have. This product works very well and I highly recommend it.
All my life, I've had extremely loud alarm clocks, because I grew up in a room with a loud fish tank and I've learned to sleep through all kinds of noise. I moved to an apartment with paper thin walls and I can no longer use a really loud alarm clock so I had to find something else.
This product works better than any of my old loud alarms that I picked up at places like Radio Shack. It wakes me up every time and I wish I would have found it years ago. I but the shaker between the mattress and box spring and turned off all the sound.
Buy it and you'll be happy. If it starts not keeping time correctly you should probably replace it or send it in for warranty as I haven't experienced this problem at all.

In the beginning, I have bought two of these alarm clocks. One for my brother and one for myself. We are both heavy sleepers and this thing wakes us up very well. The tone and the volume of the alarm can be adjusted. The tone ranges from a high pitch sound like an awful bird to a semi low tone that isn't very pitchy. The volume is loud as hell, especially at max setting. But I normally use it at a low setting so that my parents or my neigbors don't wake up hearing it. The vibration unit also helps vibrate the bed or your pillow depending on where you place it.
Here's where the problem lies, the vibration unit can break easily. So far I have bought a total of 3 alarm clocks. One of them works fine, the second one I threw away the vibration unit because it stopped working and I opened it to see if I could fix it. So then I bought a third one and a few weeks ago that vibration unit also stopped working. I noticed that if you let the vibration unit run throughout the whole hour while the alarm is running, it will die out. Also, if you drop the vibration unit it will break as well. The alarm clock still works, but if I plug the vibration unit back in and the alarm goes off, the alarm will reset itself back to 12:00am and the alarm doesn't go off. I ended up being late for work 3 times in one month.
So I sent the whole SB200 back to Sonic Alert. I waited more than 2 weeks to receive it back in the mail. I just received it today and when I tested the alarm clock the vibration unit broke on the spot. Same problem where the vibration unit doesn't go on or it tries to and it ends up resetting my alarm clock.
I am a little disappointed that this happened to me 3 times. I'm giving them one more chance and if it still breaks. I'll just end up with a vibration-less alarm clock.
