Product Review: Effective but needs more work

If you wake up at the same time every day, then this is the alarm clock for you. But if you are like me where every day is different, then it might be inconvenient to change the alarm time on this puppy.

However, as a basic alarm clock that vibrates like crazy, it works perfectly. There is no resisting the way it make your bed vibrate and the resulting loud noise if it touches your bed post. I just wish it was more like my other alarm clock ( Neverlate ) with 2 ( yes 2! )separate settings for each day, a nap button, and a snooze button.

I sleep like a rock and struggle to find a reliable way to wake up for work. This alarm is very loud. I set the volume to 9 the first time I used it. When it went off I thought I was under attack. Nothing like a shot of adrenaline to kick off the morning, huh? Now, the volume is set to 1 or 2 and I wake up every day and never sleep through my alarm. The vibrations are sure to wake most people up. Assuming you don't kick it out of bed.

This product worked and is a nice, efficient design. My daughter discovered a new way to use the vibrator puck. She unknowingly left it on the floor and when the alarm went off, it ratteled around on the floor and starteled her awake. I'm thinking of hanging it on the side of the bed frame so she hears the sound and feels the vibration (not that the alarm doesn't work anyway).

I got the Sonic Boom alarm clock for my 11-year-old son, who hears perfectly but wouldn't wake up with even the loudest, most annoying alarm clock I could find. His alarms would wake me up across the house, and I'd have to go shake him awake! Since we got the Sonic Boom for him, he has not failed to wake up on time a single day in over 8 months. He sets it on silent/vibrate, so his alarm now makes no sound that carries to the rest of the house, so it doesn't wake up the rest of the family. I can't recommend this product highly enough! It solved our morning problem, and everyone is so much happier.
