Product Review: I was a little shakey about this clock.

I bought this alarm clock, becase none of my other alarms seem to work now (all 3 of them). Hook up was easy, setting time no easier then any other clock. The vibrations through my mattress certainly wake me up, and its not something i can just sleep through. I do not use the audible alarm on this, i tried it when i first got it, and it seemed like it hurt my dogs ears, so i spare them the pain and just use the vibrations, which is more then enough.
The reason I gave this clock 4 stars is because i think the vibrator cord is too short. At first I had the clock right next to my bed, which didn't help since right when it went off i would just smack it around until it turned off.I ended up having to put it on the other side of my speaker, a spot i would have to get out of bed to turn off.

Simple design.
6 Buttons for "off alarm", "snooze", "time set", "alarm set", "Hour", and "minute".
2 dials: 1 dial for buzzer volume one other for "tuning", which simply adjusts the pitch of the buzzer tone.
2 switches for high/low light dimmer, and 1 main switch for off/buzzer/vibrate/buzzer&vibrate alarm features. A total of "10 adjustments" buttons, dials, or switches.
Could be a bit simpler, but the only junk switch you don't need is tuning. Compared to other alarm clocks wrough with as much junky and over-bloatd features as a gas-guzzling suv, this product takes the cake for being an exceptionally intuitive product. The buzzer tone seriously sounds like a car alarm. I set the alarm to test it, forgot about it, and thought it was some kind of huge truck backing up outside. It took me a good 20 seconds or so to realize that it was the buzzer on the alarm! Needless to say, the alarm tone REALLy gets you up. Combine that with the vibrating component, and well, you could be in a coma and this thing will bring you out of stupor into consciousness. the vibrating attachment works well. It kind of zaps me to alertness and it's compact as a traveling bonus. This is an a+ product.
It kind or reminds me of an odd gatchet that I'd design, actually. One afterthought is that it might be nice to have a radio feature, but, then again, waking up to the dolcett tones of radio station isn't the purpose of this product. It's purpose is to acoustically and kinesthetically WAKE YOU UP! And it definitely does that. The price is reasonable, too.

So on the basis that it shakes to wake you up this product gets 4stars. Every where else it gets 2stars. This is a basic alarm clock. You get a snooze, an alarm and a clock and that's it. The shaking is best described as violent, think your cell phone super-sized and on steroids. I got this so I could wake up and not wake my wife up in the process. This think shakes our queen sized bed enough to wake us both up. She's actually had me go back to using the vibrate alarm on my cell phone.
The actual clock feels cheap when you hold it but I haven't had any craftsmanship issues. The 9v battery back up on mine also doesn't work.
Product Review: Nice Alternative

I have a hard time getting out of bed. Even with this clock, I still do, and that's my fault for going to bed late and hitting SNOOZE for 30 mins. HOWEVER, I do seem to have an easier time waking up than before.
Before it was like someone yelling at you "GET OUT OF BED" = the BUZZER.
Where now, it's like someone slowly shaking you awake = the Vibrating Disk, which according to my wife, has made me less grouchy in the mornings.
The vibrating disk is a great alternative than a loud obnoxious buzzer. Like mentioned already, it doesn't wake everyone else up.
I recommend this to anyone looking for an alternative to a typical alarm clock.
