I love this straightener!! it is perfect! I've owned it for more than 4 years now! it straightens my hair, does not cause static, is hot withint 10 seconds, makes my hair shiny, and best of all no hair damage! I've tried numerous straighteners but this is by far the best!! money well spent!

I have had this straightener for a little more than 2 years. Before it I had tried every drugstore/department store cheap-o brand as well as an expensive chi model. None of them really got my hair as pin straight as I wanted, and I have straight hair to begin with, though it tends to have a wave especially when I first wake up. Finally after reading many reviews on a salon product website, I ordered this Solia flat iron. The great thing about this iron, is that you can set the temperature. Learning which temperature is right for your hair is a bit of a process (if you see your hair smoking...definitely too high!) but it's great to have the option to have it on a low temp. and minimize the risk of damage to your hair. This iron also heats up very, very quickly...great for when you're running late.

Of course, pairing any iron with a thermal (heat) protection spray would be optimal. After using this nearly daily for over two years, my hair is still undamaged (at least to the naked eye). I totally recommend this product!

It's been a year since I purchased this Solia hair straightener from Folica through Amazon. It was delivered promptly and without any hassle.

I was skeptical about spending close to $100 (it was on sale for $88) on a hair straightener. In the past I have used my $20 Babyliss steam shot straighteners, and they worked, but nothing fancy. My hairdresser managed to convince me that the money would be well spent after using some fancy salon straighteners on my hair. After trying this Solia out myself, I was sold. These heat up very quickly. They have the varying temperature so you can choose how much heat you supply to your hair, which is useful to prevent damage. I have not used them on damp hair, so I cannot make a claim about that, but on dry hair they work great. You certainly can use it to curl your hair, although I am not very good at it yet, but I am more concerned with getting my hair straight. I use them 5-6 times a week, and have not had any problems.

In short, I am very impressed by these straighteners. They work, and they work really, really well! They were well worth the money.

I bought this straightener a couple of years ago and it it the only straightener that truly straightened my hair (I have naturally very curly hair). About a week ago a stepped on it and it broke which is all my fault and nothing wrong with the product. When this happened I ordered the exact same straightener right away!
