I haven't bought this particular brand before, but I'm glad I did! The adjustable heat setting makes a big difference. My hair is pretty fine and so it sometimes gets damaged by the extreme heat of other straighteners. I've been keeping it about 325 degrees and I've noticed that my hair isn't drying out so bad. The ceramic / tourmaline plates also help keep my hair healthy. I would definitely recommend this product.Product Review: Fantastic Flat iron

I've only used my Solia about 5 times since I purchased it a few weeks ago, but I am so impressed with it. I didn't have a very high-quality flat iron, so I always used my curling iron to straighten my hair before. I decided I wanted a ceramic flat iron and I wanted one that was high quality so I did some research (mostly on Amazon) and decided this was the one I wanted and I was not disappointed. My hair is so much shinier and softer after I straighten it than it was when I was using my curling iron or my cheaper flat iron. I've gotten a few compliments, and I love that it lasts 2-3 days if I don't need to wash my hair. I have significantly less frizz/flyaway hair than I used to, too.
I noticed the Solia was shipping from Folica and visited their site before ordering. I was able to purchase the same iron on their site with a flat iron pouch and stand for a few dollars less than Amazon (I rarely find better deals elsewhere, so that was an impressive find). I hope to post another review (or an update) in a few months to let you know whether I've had any of the strange malfunctions that other irons sometimes have. :)

I bought this straightner over 6 years ago. It still works the same and gets just as hot as the day I first bought it. All my friends have gotten the straightner because it had a dramatic effect of my hair. It not only straightens it, it really does repair it. I have never seen my hair so shinny and silky before. PLEASE get his straightner. I HIGHLY recommened it to everyone. It is great. I will be buying these for my Christmas gifts this year! Product Review: Well worth the money!

This flat iron is so worth the money. I had my hesitations about spending so much on a flat iron, but I had an iron that I had paid about $40.00 for at a discount store, and the difference between the two is amazing. My hair felt "baked" and dried out with the cheap iron. This iron makes my hair smooth and soft. My only regret- buying the cheap flat iron first. It is so much easier to straighten than with a cheap straightener. Doesn't tear, leaves your hair smooth and straight just like they do in the salon. It is amazing. I have been having issues with my unmanageable hair for years and have always felt great after the salon straightened it. However, I was always frustrated that I could never do the same with it that they could, until now. I love it. Its great! Worth the money spent. Its the perfect width for medium length hair and bangs. Heats up super quick.
